Thawly ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website thawly.ai (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account via Google OAuth, we collect your email address, display name, and profile photo. We do not store your Google password.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage metrics such as feature usage frequency, session duration, and interaction patterns to improve our product. This data is processed through Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled.
Task Data: When you use the Thaw feature, your task descriptions are sent to AI providers for processing. For anonymous (non-registered) users, task inputs are processed in real-time and not permanently stored. For registered users, task history is stored in our database for your convenience.
Brain Dump Data: Text and voice inputs submitted through the Brain Dump feature are stored in your account for later retrieval, accessible only to you.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by our payment processor, Creem. We do not store credit card numbers or banking details on our servers. We only receive confirmation of payment status and a customer identifier.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To process your task inputs through AI models and return actionable micro-steps
- To manage your account and subscription
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the product experience
- To communicate with you about service updates (only if you opt in)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Thawly:
- Google Gemini / OpenAI: AI providers used to process your task inputs and generate step-by-step breakdowns. Your task text is sent to these providers; please do not input highly sensitive personal, financial, or medical information.
- Supabase: Database and authentication provider. Your account data and task history are stored securely.
- Creem: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Google Analytics 4: Anonymized usage analytics with IP anonymization enabled.
- Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure provider.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@thawly.ai. Upon account deletion, all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via OAuth 2.0, and encrypted database connections. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Google Analytics may use cookies for anonymized usage tracking. You may configure your browser to reject cookies, but some features of the Service may not function properly.
7. Your Rights
